Janja Roller

History

With the departure of the Turks the region of eastern Bosnia, more exactly in the town of Janja an unknown breed of roller pigeon was left behind. In the last hundred or so years, the pigeon fanciers from Janja introduced new blood through Komorner Tumbler and Vršac Vollers and later on with Niš Highflier. With this cross breeding a new pigeon breed was created, that looked good and had nice body configuration and which had kept its performing capabilities as a roller pigeon.
